Do you charge an initial consaultation fee?

Yes, we charge $60 for an initial consultation which is typically 30-45 minutes. We charge an initial consultation fee as our time is limited and we believe our time is valuable. Additionally, you will be receiving legal advice during the course of your initial consultation.
Please note that we do not charge an initial consultation fee for personal injury or workers' compensation cases.

What are your hourly rates?

a. Daniel Genet's hourly rate is $200.00
b. Leonard Martinez' hourly rate is $200.00
c. Michael Meaux's hourly rate is $140.00

Do you require that a retainer be paid?

Yes, if you hire us for a family law matter you should expect to pay a retainer in the amount of approximately $2,500.00. The amount of the retainer may, however, be less or more depending upon the circumstances of your individual case and will be adjusted accordingly.
b. If you hire us for a misdemeanor case you should expect to pay a retainer in the amount of approximately $1,000.00. The amount of the retainer may, however, be less or more depending upon the circumstances of your individual case and will be adjusted accordingly.
c. If you hire us for a felony case you should expect to pay a retainer in the amount of approximately $3,000.00. The amount of the retainer may, however, be less or more depending upon the circumstances of your individual case and will be adjusted accordingly.

Is my retainer refundable?

Yes, any unused portion of your retainer will be refunded to you with your last bill. Pursuant to the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct your retainer is kept in a non-interest bearing COLTAF account until such time as the money is earned. Accordingly, you will not receive any interest on any portion or your retainer.

How do I retain your services?

You may only retain our services by meeting with one of our attorneys, signing a retainer agreement and paying the agreed upon retainer.

What types of payment do you accept?

You may pay your retainer and subsequent attorney fees by cash, check, money order, visa or masterca

Will I receive an invoice showing the work performed on my behalf?

Yes, our firm issues invoices one time per month detailing the services provided and expenses incurred on your behalf during the month. Payment of any balance remaining after the retainer fee is exhausted is due in full within ten (10) days of the date of the invoice.
